    • Snowmobile trail C7 crosses East Main Street near where the C8C trail begins. Following C7 to the north will take you roughly parallel to state Route 30, until you reach the Canadian border. If you follow C7 south instead, it will take you alongside state Highway 27 past Owls Head, then southwest past Onchiota, Lake Clear, and Tupper Like, and finally into St. Lawrence County. In addition, the stretch of C7 south of Owls Head gives you access to a number of other snowmobile trails, including C8A and S78B, which lead into Clinton county; and C7B which heads south toward Lake Placid.

    Snowmobile Trail S78

From there it heads west to St. Regis Falls. South of St. Regis Falls it meets the C8 and, eventually, the S81A trail. The C8 is the only trail that leads to Paul Smiths, though from there it is only a short ride west to the C7.
