1992 Yamaha Phaser Snowmobile Specs

The 1992 model of the Yamaha Phaser, also called the Phazer, was a medium-specification snowmobile, known for its good reliability and light weight. The Phaser range was first introduced in 1984, and was the first Yamaha snowmobile on which the headlights were directly attached to the handlebars, so that the headlights follow its turn.
  1. Phaser II ST PZ480TS

    • The PZ480TS has a two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 485 cc. It is equipped with a Mikuni BM38-32 x 2 carburetor, and has a main jet size of 143.8 (1.438 mm), and a pilot jet size of 95 (0.95 mm). The engine is fan cooled and is able to generate 1,600 idle rpms (pllus or minus 100 rpms), 3,300 engagement rpms and 6,800 shift rpms. It possesses a sheave center to center of 268.5 mm (10.6 inches) and a sheave offset of 13.55 mm (0.53 inch). It has gear ratio of 17:33.

    Phaser II LE PZ480E

    • The Phaser II LE PZ480E has very similar specifications to the PZ480 TS, with a two-cylinder engine with a displacement of 485 cc. The difference between the two is that the PZ480E has a gearing ratio of 17:29.

    Phaser II PZ480S

    • The PZ480S also has the same 485 cc engine as the two other 1992 Yamaha Phaser models, with virtually identical specifications in all aspects.
