1994 Polaris Storm 800 Specs

The 1994 Polaris Storm 800, was one of the powerhouse sleds in its day. Even now it can leave lots of the competition eating snow. It is not for the novice though. It has strong torque and carries heavy forward weight. In adverse conditions it can feel more like a wrestling match than a smooth ride.

    • Weighing in at 550 lbs. with a height of 38.5 inches, a length of 106.25 inches and a width of 45.5 inches, the 1994 Polaris Storm 800 packed plenty of power for its time. A fuel capacity 10.7 gallons will give hours of snowy enjoyment between refueling.

    Engine

    • The 1994 Polaris Storm 800 pulls plenty of power from its 794 liquid-cooled triple engine with oil injection, 3-VM38SS Slide carburetor and CDI ignition. The 12V 170W alternator output is generous enough to power the 60/55 Halogen headlight and all of the standard and optional features.

    Suspension

    • The powerhouse engine gives plenty of torque, with an IFS front suspension and XC-100 rear suspension, helped by cam adjusted nitrogen cell front shocks. With a 40-inch ski center and 15-inch by 121-inch track width, you better be ready to handle this sled if you are going to open it up. The standard torsion bar and 8-inch front and rear travel were outstanding in their day.
