Giro Omen Audio Helmet Specs

The Giro company, based in Scotts Valley, California, designs and manufactures protective sports gear, including the Giro Omen audio snow helmet. The helmet offers features that accommodate drop-in wireless audio technology, including Bluetooth and TuneUps.

  1. Color and Size

    • The Giro Omen audio helmet comes in black, white, gray and brown. It is available in sizes ranging from 52 cm to 62.5 cm.

    Construction and Ventilation

    • The helmet provides protection and feels lightweight because of its polycarbonate shell and foam liner. Hygiene considerations include padding made from materials with anti-microbial properties and interior pads that are washable. Fourteen vents built into the helmet allow fresh air to circulate and excessive heat to escape.

    Adjustments

    • An adjustment dial at the base of the helmet allows you to customize the fit. Adjustments up to 6 cm create a snug fit as well as provide space along the sides of the helmet to accommodate goggles. A button on the outside of the helmet controls the ventilation. This gives you control over the amount of air circulation within the helmet.

    Audio

    • The Giro Omen helmet features two ear pads designed to hold the thin speakers of the TuneUps Audio Drop system. The 40 mm speakers offer clear audio, and the speaker pods hold the controls for the volume.
