How to Dress for Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing and other winter sports require a clothing layering system so you'll be prepared for snow, wind, sun and other weather extremes.

Start by wearing synthetic long underwear from top to bottom. Fabrics such as polypropelene will keep moisture away from your body and heat in.

Wear a bulk layer such as a fleece or a wool sweater to keep warm.

Don a water-resistant jacket and water-resistant pants to remain dry. These will protect you from the elements and the snow on the ground.

Wear gloves or mittens.

Protect your eyes from sun and snow glare by wearing sunglasses or goggles.
