      Drive down the line for speed.

      Spot the section ahead you plan to hit.

      Angle up the face and use the wave as a launching pad.

      Punch off the lip to project up and out from the wave.

      Focus on the landing as soon as you're in the air.

      Grab the rail of your board if you're afraid you're going to lose it.

      Land in the open face and absorb the shock with your knees.
