Homemade Camo Paint

Camo paint, also known as camouflage paint, is a body paint used by military personnel and hunters to blend in with their surroundings. Camo paint is applied to the face, hands, neck and any other exposed skin. Two to three colors are applied to the skin in irregular patterns. Darker colors are applied to the shiny areas of the face like the forehead and nose. Lighter colors are applied under the nose and in the eye and chin areas. Camo paint can be easily blended at home with household ingredients.

Instructions

    • 1

Add shortening or cocoa butter, flour and cornstarch to your bowl and mix until smooth.

    • 2

Add Vaseline to your mixture and blend until smooth.

    • 3

Divide the mixture into three plastic containers to create light green, dark green and brown camo paint.

    • 4

Add one drop of green food coloring at a time to the first bowl and blend until you create a light green color similar to grass.

    • 5

Add one drop of green food coloring at a time to the second bowl and blend until you create a dark olive green color. You will probably use at least twice as many drops of coloring as you used for the light green color.

    • 6

Add one drop of brown food coloring at a time to the third bowl and blend until you create a dark brown color. If you can't find brown food coloring, you can add every color you have (red, green, blue, yellow) in equal parts to mix a dirty brown color. You can also try cocoa powder to create brown.
