Red Sox Season Ticket Holder Rules
-
Name and address changes
-
Red Sox season tickets are nontransferable, so the name of the person on the account cannot be changed. Businesses that own season tickets cannot change the business name, but they can change the name of the contact person on the account by sending a letter on company stationery to the team so that the Red Sox can review the request and change it. To change the address listed on your account, you need to write or fax a letter to the Red Sox that has your account number, the location of your seats, your old address and your new address.
Stolen tickets
-
If your tickets are stolen, the person who is on the account as the season ticket holder must file a report with the police and include a copy of it in a letter to the Red Sox's ticket office along with the location of your seats and your account information. The Red Sox will review the incident and issue you new tickets if your claim is legitimate. If the game is less than two weeks away, the account holder will have to go to the will call window; otherwise, the team will mail new tickets to the account holder by priority mail.
Rainout policy
-
In the event of a rainout, one of two things can happen. If the rained-out game is rescheduled later in the season, the ticket for the original date of the game will be valid for the makeup date. If the game is not rescheduled, a rain check will be issued. The account holder must exchange the ticket through the mail or at the ticket office for a ticket of the same price at a different game that season if there are any tickets available.
Resale policy
-
The Red Sox view their season tickets as a revocable license and not as the property of the ticket holder. Therefore, they claim the right to revoke the tickets if there is evidence of fraud; the tickets are purchased with the intent to resell them at a higher price (scalping); or if they're used as a prize in a contest, lottery or similar promotion without the club's permission. If you can't attend a game and want to sell the tickets so that you don't lose the money, the team wants you to use a licensed company like StubHub to resell your tickets.
Code of conduct
-
According to the code of conduct for fans at Fenway Park, you must do the following: don't interfere with balls in play; don't trespass onto the field; drink responsibly; clean up your trash; watch your language; show respect to your fellow fans; keep cell phone conversations as private as possible; do not sit in anyone's seats but yours; and don't smoke at Fenway. Failure to follow these rules could lead not only to having your season tickets revoked but also expose you to criminal penalties.
