How to Customize a 49ers Jersey

One of the most popular sports leagues in the United States is the National Football League. Fans of NFL teams buy merchandise, including jerseys, to show their support for their favorite team. For fans of the San Francisco 49ers, buy a jersey with the name and number of your favorite current 49er, a 49ers legend like Jerry Rice, Steve Young or Joe Montana, or even your own name.

      Go to the online store at either NFL.com or 49ers.com. If you use the NFL site, click on the 49ers link in the "Shop by Team" drop-down menu to take you to the 49ers merchandise.

      Click on the "Jerseys" link, then click on "Customizable." Decide whether you want to get a replica jersey or an authentic one. A replica jersey will cost you around $100, while an authentic jersey will cost you several hundred dollars. Also, decide which color jersey you want to get--white or red.

      Click on the jersey that you chose. Choose the name of the player whose jersey you want, or type the name and number that you want to get on your jersey. The name must fit NFL criteria, including not having derogatory or profane language, not being more than 10 characters long and not having the name of a player who retired from that team (you need to get a Throwback jersey for that). Preview your jersey to see what it will look like.

      Choose the size and add it to your shopping cart. Enter your promotional code (if you have one) and the shipping method that you want to use.
