Customizing your own NFL jersey is another way you can feel even closer to your favorite team. The NFL, through its online nflshop.com, has made it easy to customize your own jersey with the name and number of your choice. You can either create your own name and number or select a player that may not have his own jersey available.

      Go to nflshop.com and select "Customized Gear." Select the team whose jersey you want from the list on the left side of the screen.

      Select "Custom Jerseys" from the custom shop under your team. Pick a color and decide whether you want a replica or authentic jersey. The difference is that replica jerseys are cheaper and have screen-printed numbers and letters. Authentic jerseys are expensive but have the numbers and letters sewn on like the pros do.

      Click "Customize It" under the jersey of your choice. Enter the name and number you want into the dialogue box. Click "Preview" to see what the jersey will look like. Scroll down and pick your size. The NFL offers sizes from small to 5XL.

      Click "Add To Cart." Pay for the jersey by entering your credit or gift card information. Then click "Place Order." Your jersey should ship within two-to-three business days as long as it's in stock.
