1
Choose where you watch football carefully. One of the most important parts of watching football is where you decide to do it. Do you want to watch it at home, at a bar, or maybe at a friend's house? At home is nice, but you're responsible for everything. A bar is great, but impersonal. A friend's house is personal and you don't have to be responsible for everything. Remember, however, wherever you watch the game has to have multiple TVs so you can watch more than one game at once.

2
Overeat. One of the joys of spending time watching football is everything that goes with it. Watching football is about eating lots of food that you might not usually allow yourself. So, order the Buffalo wings, pizza and cheese dip.

3
Be careful with whom you watch football. It's usually better to watch football in a group, but the company is crucial. You want people who enjoy football, but even more importantly want to relax and have a good time. One person who is worried, tense or stressed out can ruin the day for everyone. So, trade pure football knowledge for someone who is fun to be around.

4
Put aside your worries and concerns. See a day of watching football as a type of therapy. Leave behind your problems, concerns and worries. This way, football days become a time a relaxation and stress relief. Eventually, you'll come to look forward to football days as a time to unwind after a hard week.

5
Embrace the games themselves. Football is much more fun to watch if you care about what's going on. Learn the rules. Pick a team to support. One of the joys of football is cheering your team on.

6
Talk trash. Once you have a favorite, if they're any good, talk about how great they are and taunt your friends who like other teams. If your team is really bad, complain about them non-stop. Either way, good or bad, they'll still be fun to watch.
