How to Use Bracket Sheets

Tens of thousands of people in-person and thousands more watching at home dedicate their passion and free time to watching other people play sports. Fan enthusiasm runs high around playoff time, when teams compete for a championship. Keeping track of the winners and losers of each game can prove difficult, especially if you want to guess the outcomes for a tournament pool. Bracket sheets make this task easier.

Instructions

      Enter the two teams playing against each other on the first two lines at the upper left of the bracket sheet.

      Enter another two teams playing against each other on the two lines beneath the first two lines. Repeat this process until you have filled in all the teams competing in a tournament.

      Enter the first two teams from the next division of the league beneath the last two teams of the previous league. Repeat this process until you have filled the bracket with the rest of that division's teams.

      Enter the first two teams from the next division of the league on the top right hand side of the bracket.

      Enter the next two teams from that division underneath the first two. Repeat this process until you have finished entering all teams from that division, then fill in the team names from the next division.

      Enter each team's ranking number on the outside of the team name. This helps illustrate each team's overall success during the season and help gauge the outcome of the games.s

      Write the name of the winning team on the line directly to the right or left of the two teams that played against each other. Repeat this process for all games until both the left and right brackets narrow down to the final four and meet in the middle.

      Write down the two teams from the top left and right side of the bracket and write down the two teams from the bottom left and right side of the bracket.

      Write down the winner from the upper half of the bracket and lower half of the bracket. These two teams play for the championship.
