The Number of Seats in Town Toyota Center

On October 10, 2008, the Town Toyota Center in Wenatchee, Washington hosted its first event: a quilt show. That's a little different from the activities of its main tenant, the Wenatchee Wild, a junior-level hockey team in the North American Hockey League. The multi-purpose facility, which can be reconfigured to host different styles of events, did not live up to early revenue projections; so the local governing board took over management of the arena.

  1. Sports Configuration

    • When the TTC is configured for sporting events, the arena has 4,300 seats. Most of the seats are dark green plastic, 19 inches wide.

    End and Center Stage Configurations

    • For musical acts, comedy shows, and the like, the floor level of the arena adds about 1,800 seats. With other configuration changes, the TTC seating for these events is 5,800 for the end-stage arrangement and 5,900 with the stage at center.

    Specialty Seats

    • There is a "club seating" section that consists of 400 21-inch-wide padded seats. In addition, several private "hospitality suites" offer accommodations for up to 26 people each. There are also padded loge seats available.

    Management Turnover

    • The initial year of operation of the TTC was plagued by accounting irregularities, prompting the Public Facilities District --- the multi-jurisdiction agency that owns the facility --- to take over day-to-day operations of the facility in the fall of 2009. The facility has failed to live up to initial revenue expectations and the City of Wenatchee has struggled to keep its promise to make up for shortfalls and guarantee payment of the construction loan.
