The official Wembley Stadium website explains how it has been the home to English soccer since 1923. Wembley Stadium has hosted the final a record six times, as explained on UEFA.com. However, this will be the first time the stadium has held the final since it was rebuilt and re-opened in spring 2007 with a new design and increased capacity of up to 90,000 fans.
