Open the blinds to their highest capacity. It’s much easier to remove mini blinds when they are packed together in a single compact unit rather than dangling down.

    • 2

Examine the top of the blinds to see how they are connected to the window frame. Most are held in place by two small cube-like brackets at either end of the blind base. If that is the case, the front square of the bracket should easily slide out if you push it gently towards the center of the blinds.

    • 3

Slide the small square panel out of its brackets. Do this for each side of the blinds, putting the small squares aside.

    • 4

Remove blinds from their brackets. Simply pull the blinds forward, keeping one hand on each end, and slide them towards you. Place them somewhere they won't get stepped on, crunched or ruined.

Remove the hardware. Inside each small cube there are a number of small screws that are fastening the brackets to the window frame. Simply unscrew the screws with a small, thin screwdriver and take down the brackets.
