Creative Ways to Keep Bottled Water Cool at Events
-
Frozen Water
-
The night before you go to the event, put water bottles in the freezer. The next morning, pull the frozen bottles of water out of the freezer so that they can begin to slowly melt on their own. By the time you get to the event, the water inside the bottle will have begun to melt, allowing you to drink it at your leisure. Over the course of the event, the ice will continue to melt into cool, thirst-quenching water.
Backpack and Ice
-
Bring a back pack that you don't mind getting wet and fill it with bottles of water. Once inside the event, ask vendors for a few cups of ice, which is usually free. Fill the backpack with ice, around the bottled waters. The ice will keep the bottled water cool.
Use a Thermos
-
Thermoses are designed to keep water cool for an extended period of time, as they have insulated sides which keeps the cold from easily escaping. Put your thermos in the freezer the night before so that it becomes incredibly cold and then take it out and put water inside of it and stow it in a refrigerator until you leave for the event. Unless the event is much longer then a few hours, the water inside the Thermos should remain cooler than the outside air.
