Prizes & Gifts at Golf Tournaments

To get the golfers to enter your tournament, you will need to offer prizes that attract their attention. Everyone should go home with a little gift or momentum of the day, but the prizes for the winners should be the biggest you will offer. You can also offer prizes for other achievements such as worst golfer of the day and the longest drive of the day.

  1. Shirts and Caps

    • Golf shirts are gifts or giveaways that can be given to each golfer who entered the tournament. The shirts can display the logo of the charity or group that the golf tournament benefits. Golf hats are also gifts you can give to all the players, this too can have the logo of the company or charity of the golf tournament.

    Goody Bag

    • Another gift is a goody bag that is filled with things the golfers can use on the links. The bag can be a small nylon cooler about the size of a lunch box. The logo can also be displayed on the bag. A bottle of water, candy bar and a package of cheese and crackers to use for a snack to stave off their thirst and hunger. Snacks are a welcome gift during these sometimes drawn out golf tournaments. Pencils and score cards for keeping their own scores and hand wipes or hand sanitizer for keeping their hands clean are other items for the bag. You can even throw in a sleeve of golf balls as a gift for the goody bag. The gift bag can contain items not used on the links, such as a logo cooperate items like a key chain, pens and rulers.

    Golf Clubs

    • A golf bag and a new set of clubs is a dream prize for most tournaments. This prize speaks to everyone in the tournament because, after all, they are playing golf. This would make a great prize for the winner.

    Flat Screen TV

    • A flat screen TV is another large prize that can be offered to the winner. This high-end ticket price item gives the golfers initiative to win the tournament and come back to next year's event.

    Getaway Package

    • Put a winners package together such as a “weekend getaway.” This could include a luxury car rental for the weekend and a stay in a posh bed and breakfast country inn. The same idea would work for a weekend ski package, just add lift tickets.

    Dining Out Package

    • If money is tight to spend on gifts, get creative and do a “week of dining out.” Get seven gift certificates to area restaurants and include them as a package for the winning prize.
