How to See All Three Stanley Cup Trophies

It is the fantasy of many true ice hockey fans to one day see the Lord Stanley's Cup, the coveted trophy awarded to each season's championship team after the playoff series. In reality, there are three Stanley Cups. Die-hard fans may have the goal to see all three of them, and see an important piece of history that has been touched by many of the world's greatest hockey players of all time.

      See the original Stanley cup. It is always on display in a vault at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto, Ontario. It is a silver decorative bowl purchased by Lord Stanley in the late 19th century. The hockey hall of fame is open year-round, and the costs are fairly reasonable.

      See the replica Stanley Cup while at the Hockey Hall of Fame. The replica Stanley Cup is used as a stand-in when the real one is gone. It is an exact replica. It is also on display in a vault in the summer season while the championship team is celebrating with the authentic cup.

      Go to a championship game to see the authentic Stanley Cup. It is presented after the final game of a championship series to the captain of the winning team. The real Stanley Cup can also be seen at the Hockey Hall of Fame when not in possession of the championship team. It is at the Hall of Fame during spring, winter and fall.

      Follow the news and press surrounding the championship team. Each player of the championship team gets a turn to have the cup in their possession. Some players have their children baptized in it, drink beer from it or have their dogs eat from it. Many players tour with it, letting fans see it and touch it.
