1
Dress appropriately for the baseball tailgate. Be sure to check the weather to know just how hot it is going to be outside. Sandals, shorts and a shirt are recommended when attending a baseball tailgate. Remember, though, that it's smart to bring a sweatshirt in the car with you when you go to your tailgate. This way, you'll be prepared if the temperature drops.

2
Bring a canopy and chairs to your baseball tailgate. Sitting in the hot sun for hours will only make you warmer as the day goes on. Use the canopy to create shade for you and your tailgate guests. Place the chairs under the canopy, sit back and relax while you enjoy your baseball tailgate.

3
Drink plenty of cold non-alcoholic beverages. It's a well known fact that beer is just synonymous with tailgates. However, drinking beer or other alcoholic drinks can make you dehydrated in a hurry, thus increasing your body temperature. Nothing will keep your body temperature down like ice water.

Bring cold foods with you to your tailgate. It's common sense that eating warm foods such as soup, for example, will increase your body temperature. Cold deli sandwiches, pasta salad and potato salad are all good foods to eat during a baseball tailgate. They are easy to prepare, easy to store and are low in temperature.
-
5
Avoid moving around a lot during your baseball tailgate. If you're walking or running around in the hot sun, your body temperature will increase much quicker than if you're stationary. Relax, enjoy the weather and listen to the pre-game show on a portable or car stereo during your baseball tailgate.

6
Bring plenty of sunscreen to your baseball tailgate. If you're attending a baseball tailgate during the afternoon, you'll probably be out in the hot sun for hours. A sunburn will obviously increase your body temperature, not to mention make you dehydrated.
