How to Submit Sports Ideas to ESPN
Instructions

1
Familiarize yourself with the network, its affiliates and its website. Keep an eye out for programming and content that you would like to see, as you will need to eventually fine tune your suggestions. For example, do you find that your sport doesn't receive the coverage you desire? Or do you simply wish to see different angles explored on your interests? It's important to be informed before contacting ESPN in order to save yourself the embarrassment of a "we already do that" response.

2
Write a draft of what you are going to send to the network. The more articulate you are, the more likely your inquiries and ideas will be taken seriously. Study the sport that your idea is in, and all of the trends associated with it. For instance, if baseball is your area of interest, suggest that they cover more of the winter meetings and off-season activity. This will work better than a ham-handed "show more baseball" type of correspondence.
-
3
Submit your feedback to ESPN employees who cover your area of interest. Most personalities and writers for the site have public email addresses at the network for fans to send their questions, comments and ideas.
-
4
Post your ideas in the general feedback section of the ESPN website. Do this even if you have yet to receive a response from the writer who you wrote to, as it won't hurt to use several different avenues to spread the word. To that end, a good old fashioned letter in the mail would be worth a shot if you have a stamp lying around.
