Women’s Sports Foundation Grant
-
With the support of Michelle Obama and the President’s Council, the Women’s Sports Foundation provides grants to sports programs that provide sports opportunities to women athletes. These grants are intended to aid low-income female athletes in achieving sports dreams by awarding community organizations financial assistance to provide under-served females ages 8-18 the opportunity to get involved in sports. The grants can be awarded to assist in developing facilities, purchasing equipment or hiring staff to educate underprivileged females. Over $1,000,000 was awarded by this foundation in 2008 alone.
