Schools in Kansas offer archery classes through their Physical Education Program. Anyone that teaches these classes must be certified. The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism offers free certification programs. Kansas Hunting License Requirement

Anyone who wishes to take her archery skills to the level of bowhunting in Kansas must acquire a hunting license. In order to acquire a hunting license in the state of Kansas, all residents born after July 1, 1957 must complete a hunter education certification through an online or in-class program. If you are from a different state and you wish to hunt in Kansas, you must also receive the education certification. The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism offers these classes. In this class, you learn hunting ethics and how to be fair in your hunting practices. The class includes instruction on basic hunting skills and hunting safety. You must complete a minimum of 10 hours of instruction to receive your certification.
Kansas Field Day Requirements

In order to participate in a Kansas Field Day in your region, you must first complete your bow hunter education program and pass the Field Day Qualified Exam. After pre-registering at a Field Day location, you need to visit bowhunter-ed.com/Kansas. Here you can take the required online course. You pay the fee only when you pass the exam. Once you pass, you need to print out the certification and apply for the Field Day Qualifier Exam. Take your proof of certification with you to the Field Day Exercise for which you pre-registered.
Kansas Bowhunter Education Certification

To receive your Bowhunter Education Certification in Kansas, you must first attend a Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks Field Day. Once you have completed the Field Day requirements, you will be eligible to acquire the Kansas Bowhunter Education Certification. You must first show proficiency during your demonstrations at Field Day, and then you will be required to pass the Kansas Bowhunter Education State test. After you have successfully achieved all of these requirements, you will receive your Kansas Bowhunter Education Certification.
