Archery Ranges in Utah

Many archery ranges in Utah offer indoor and outdoor ranges. Archers often share their range complexes with gun enthusiasts and trap and skeet shooters. Some archery ranges in Utah are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and most are closed on Sundays. Utah's Division of Wildlife Resources operates two archery ranges. Archers in Utah use their skills for recreation, sport and hunting.
  1. Salt Lake Archery

    • Salt Lake Archery has a range available for open shooting and leagues. The range offers lessons for adult and children as young as 7 years old, private lessons and Boy Scout Merit Badge courses. It hosts a youth archery club called Hot Shots.

    Lee Kay Hunter Education Center

    • The Lee Kay Hunter Education Center offers an outdoor archery range that was expanded and updated in 2009. The center also has ranges for rifles, muzzle loaders, trap, skeet and airguns. As its name suggests, the center offers classes and education in addition to open range time. It is owned and operated by Utah's Division of Wildlife Resources.

    Cache Valley Hunter Education Center

    • The Cache Valley Hunter Education Center offers an archery range, along with pistol, rifle, trap, skeet, airguns and more. It is one of two centers owned and operated by Utah's Division of Wildlife Resources and also offers hunter education and training.

    Utah Archery Center

    • Utah Archery Center features an indoor archery range, along with leagues, games and open shooting. The center has a "Techno Hunt" shooting system, "as well as a chronograph and paper tuning capability," according to the archery center's website. The center says it accommodates young archers and scouts.

    North Spring Shooting Range and Recreation Area

    • North Spring Shooting Range and Recreation Area is a 640-acre area with ranges for archery, along with rifle and pistol. It has a "Cowboy Action Shooting town" and an "Old West Town." The complex has four separate outdoor archery ranges with at least 110 targets of 3-D, block and bale types.

    Southern Utah Shooting Sports Park

    • Southern Utah Shooting Sports Park near St. George has an archery range operated by archery club RedRock Bowmen Southern Utah Archery Club. The range has seven ranges with targets at varying distances. It is always open to members and to the public two Saturdays per month.
