Types of Hoyt Bows

Hoyt started producing archery bows and accessories in the early 1900s and has grown into one of the most respected companies in the archery, outdoor and hunting industries. Through the years, Hoyt has developed various compound, recurve and traditional bows, as well as specialty bows for youth and female archers.
  1. Compound

    • Hoyt compound bows include models designed for hunting and competition shooting. The hunting compound bows are available in camouflage, and the competition bows available in colors ranging from black to red. The different models are manufactured with a variety of lengths, brace heights and axle-to-axle measurements to match the individual demands of each shooter. Each bow includes their patented "Cam and 1/2" technology. In 2010, Hoyt released a high-performance carbon fiber bow.

    Ladies

    • To accommodate the expanding sport of ladies' archery, Hoyt released a line of bows specifically for women in their 2011 lineup. The Vicxen bows include the Vicki Cianciarulo signature series bows that are designed for optimal speed, accuracy and consistency for female shooters. The women's bows have a lower weight with a shorter draw length range that can be adjusted to fit nearly any woman archer.

    Recurve

    • Similar to the compound bows, Hoyt recurve bows include models designed for hunting and competition. In 2011, Hoyt released the Fred Eichler signature series Buffalo recurve bow designed for bow hunting. The hunting recurves combine accuracy and shootability, and are made with an aluminum riser. The competition recurve bows are designed with a smooth draw and high velocity for optimal performance and accuracy.

    Youth

    • One of the most difficult factors for introducing youth to archery is the need for a bow that fits properly. The Ruckus compound bow solves that problem by providing various adjustments to match a youth's size and change with them as they grow. The youth bows combine the technology used in Hoyt's high-end bows with a wide range of adjustments for draw length and draw weight.
