  1. Excalibur Crossbow Stringer Instructions

    • 1

Remove the old string. The strings are extremely taut to give them the power to propel a crossbow arrow, or "bolt", great distances. If the old string is still attached, face the bow to the ground and insert your foot in the metal stirrup on the very front of the bow. With a hand on one side of the bow, pull up while simultaneously maneuvering the string off the end of the same side.

    • 2

Attach the Excalibur Crossbow Stringer. With your foot still in the stirrup, attach the rubber ends of the Stringer to each end of the bow. Make sure that the rubber ends are positioned past the notches on each end intended for the string.

    • 3

Secure the Stringer in place. Pull the Stringer upward until it can be propped behind the cocking implement. On the smooth, topside of the crossbow, this is the first protrusion that you will come to. You should be able to secure the Stringer behind this.

Attach the string. With the Stringer in place, take the string through the rubber piece on one side and attach it to the notch. Repeat the process for the other side of the bow and then remove the Stringer.
