Specifications of the 2006 Excalibur Exocet

The 2006 Excalibur Exocet hunting crossbow is an upgraded version of Excalibur's longest running model. It's designed for target practice shooting and game animal hunting. The rifle-type crossbow is used mainly to hunt deer during the limited crossbow archery season.

    • Crossbows were invented in China more than 2,000 years ago to increase the power and accuracy of traditional bows. Crossbows have a short bow lath with the tips connected by a cord. The cord is drawn and latched until released by a trigger mechanism. Excalibur has been designing and building crossbows since 1983.

    • The 2006 Excalibur Exocet crossbow has an overall length of 38.5 inches and weighs 6.4 lbs. Its draw weight is 200 lbs. It has a power stoke of 15.5 inches with a 3-pound pull trigger. It shoots a 20-inch, 350-grain arrow at a velocity of 330 feet per second.

    • The 2006 Excalibur Exocet has a manual safety and includes sling studs and a fiber optic peep sight. It's pre-drilled and tapped for adding an optional telescopic sight and arrow quiver. It features dissipator bars to suppress sound and recoil. The fiberglass limbs and composite polymer or glass filled stock are finished in a camouflage pattern.
