How to Adjust the Release on a Browning Bow
Instructions

-
1
Push, by hand, the nock screw from the bow down to the string nob. The nock screw is the small set-screw found at the nocking dock for the arrow in the center of the bow shaft.
-
2
Align the nock screw an arrow-nock's width above the limb center. The limb center is where the arrow shaft rests when the nock — the U-shaped valley where the bow string is threaded — is placed onto the bow string.
-
3
Turn the nock screw to either push the bow string away from the bow. If using a finger release, keep it one arrow's width away from the bow shaft. If using a mechanical release, turn the nock screw so the bow string comes in toward the bow shaft and is aligned with the limb center.
-
4
Take practice shots at a circle target to zero in with the release accuracy. Make micro-adjustments after each shot until your desired release point is reached.
