How to Fold an Easton Pop-Up Net

The Easton pop-up net provides a backstop for baseball batting practice. Players hit baseballs directly into the net to contain the balls, saving time spent on having to chase them down during practice sessions. Folding the net is a simple process when properly attempted. The initial fold must be correct to complete the task. After the initial move, the remainder of the net easily folds into a compact loop. Making an improper initial fold creates resistance and the net will not easily fall into place.

      Locate the two handle loops on the erected net. The handles are positioned on the top and bottom sides of the net.

      Pull the two handles together to fold the net in half. The net will make a taco shape with one loop on each side of the handles. Hold the two aligned handles on the ground.

      Grab the loop on the right side of the handles. Pull the loop toward the handles, rotating the loop in a counterclockwise motion. This is a natural motion for the material and very little force is required to encourage the motion. The loop will fold and collapse into a circle.

      Take hold of the loop on the left side of the handles. Pull the loop toward the handles, rotating the loop in a clockwise direction. Continue the rotation until the loop collapses into a folded circle.

      Secure the edges of the folded net with the attached fabric fasteners. This prevents the net from springing back into the erect position.
