How to Do a Proper Crow Hop
Instructions
-
-
1
Catch the ball in a low throw position. Get ready for a right-handed throw, or reverse the directions if you're left-handed.
-
2
Crouch down with knees bent at a 45 degree angle. Place your hands and glove between your knees. Bend forward as if you were about to sit down in a chair. If the ball was not thrown low, then remain upright and bend the elbows.
-
3
Hop onto your right foot to a standing position, keeping your left foot in the air. Bend your left leg with the toe pointing down. Rest your weight on your right foot and keep your right knee bent.
-
4
Set the left foot down with the toe pointed in the direction you want to throw the ball. Take the ball in your right hand, keeping the glove in your left. Swing your right arm behind you, on a line with the direction that you want to throw the ball. Move your weight from the right foot to the left foot. Keep the right toe on the ground, but raise the heel.
-
5
Throw the ball in the desired direction. Swing your right foot out as you throw, moving it in the same direction that you threw the ball.
