Instructions for an Easton Batting Net

Easton makes a wide variety of sporting goods, including a batting net designed for use by baseball players. It's called the Pop Up Net, and it stores in a small bag, then unfolds and stands up like a tent. The ball player then stands in front of the net with his bat and the ball on a stand, and practices hitting the ball without having to chase after it each time he hits it far. The most complex part of the process is putting up the Easton Pop Up net, and even that will only take minutes.

Instructions

    • 1

Open up the bag for the Easton batting net and lay out the stakes, batting net and poles around the area you want the net. Orient the net facing up, with the logo legible. Aim the bottom of the net towards wherever you'll be swinging the bat, so that when you do hit a baseball, it doesn't hit a wall or window.

    • 2

Locate the four red hoops around the corners of the net. Push the stakes through the red hoops and into the ground using your hand, hammering them in with a mallet if necessary.

    • 3

Pull out one of the poles.Hold one half of the pole in one hand, and the other half in the other hand, with the bungee cord that holds the two halves of the pole together in the middle. Guide the ends of the pole halves towards the middle, so the bungee cord disappears and the two interlock together. Repeat for both poles.

    • 4

Slide one of the poles through the black side sleeves with the large Easton logo on it, feeding it in from top to bottom, with the pronged end pointing down. Attach the bottom of the pole to the rubber washer by pushing it onto the prong until the pole can't move any further. Attach the bungeed prong on the top of the pole to the brass grommet through the front by looping the grommet around the bungeed prong until the grommet is locked against the pole. Repeat for the other side of the net.
