How to Get Your Message Displayed on the Big Screen at Chase Field

Nothing beats the excitement of attending a sporting event and seeing a personal greeting in your name on the scoreboard. At Phoenix's Chase Field, home of the Arizona Diamondbacks baseball team, getting your message on the big screen is as simple as composing a message, paying a fee and submitting your request for the park's approval. Once approved, all you have to do is show up for the game and keep your eye on the big screen!

      Contact the Arizona Diamondbacks scoreboard message hotline by phone at 602-462-6454, or online, to review the rules and regulations about posting a scoreboard message. There is a $100 donation to the Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation required to have your message appear on the screen during a game, and a $250 donation required to the same cause for marriage proposals.

      Allow enough time for the Diamondbacks administration to receive and review your message to ensure it appears on the day you are at the game. Submit the request no later than 72 hours prior to game time. There is a limited number of messages that can appear, so the earlier the submission, the better. Messages are limited to 100 characters or less, including spacing and punctuation. In addition, the Diamondbacks administration reserves the right to edit any message, or reject any that include vulgar or commercial language.

      Messages appear at the end of the fourth inning of the baseball game. A picture of a standard message appearing on the scoreboard is sent to the purchaser via email within 10 weeks of the appearance. Marriage proposals are recorded on DVD and shipped to the purchaser via mail.

      Once you have reviewed the rules, regulations and requirements of the Diamondbacks' scoreboard message, create a login and password through the Major League Baseball website. Follow the prompts to pick the dates of available games for scoreboard messages, compose the message, and submit it for approval. You will be notified by the management via email that your message has been approved and will appear on the designated day.
