How to Customize Catcher's Equipment

So you're tired of the regular run-of-the-mill catcher's gear? A baseball catcher wears the most protective equipment of any player on the team, and rightfully so with baseballs being flung at him over 80-miles an hour, and a bat swinging inches from his face. Customizing your catcher's gear can give you your own personal style, and add a bit of flair to the team. You should only customize your gear if you're given permission by your coach or school.

      Choose a color for your chest protector that you like the most, or a team color or school color. Numerous gear shops have chest protectors that you can order with custom colors to suit your needs.

      Create a design that is unique to you to have printed or painted onto your catcher's chest protector. You can have the design airbrushed right on the front of the protector. This design could be one that you like the most, your school mascot, team name, nickname, or your baseball number.

      AIrbrush a design onto your headgear. You can do this yourself if you know how, or take it to an airbrush shop, or a custom baseball gear shop and have the design professionally placed onto your headgear. This can be any design you like that represents you or your team such as a nickname, mascot, team name, or number.

      Paint your number or a design on your shin guards. Just the same as before, you can have the design airbrushed or use your own paint and place an identical design on both shin guards.
