Instructions

Sketch out your last name with a pen or pencil on the front of the right leg, just below the belt line. Work your needle and thread in and out along the lines of the name to customize your pants with embroidery. When moving on to the next letter in the name, make sure the thread is transferred on the inside of the pants to hide the thread. For a list of many embroidery stitch styles, see Crafttown.com.

Fill up a plastic container with desired dye color. Put the baseball pants into the container. Keep your pants submerged in the dye for at least 10 minutes. For a bolder color, keep your pants in the dye longer. Wash the dyed pants to remove any excess dye.

Slide your pants over the sewing machine plate making sure only the outside surface will be sewed into. Lay a fabric strip down along the outside seam of your pants and start your sewing machine. Sew the strip onto the pants. Turn your pants over and sew another fabric strip down the outside seam of the other pant leg.

Purchase a matching stretch elastic belt. A color-coordinated belt completes the baseball pants, holding them up and adding another splash of color.
