1
Use laces that will either make your shoes stand apart from or blend in with those of your team members. To ensure that your laces stand out in a crowd, create multicolored laces representing your team's colors yourself. Fill small bowls with the appropriate color of food coloring and use rubber bands to separate 1-inch areas of the lace. Dunk the first section of lace into the first color and dip the next section into the second color. Alternate dipping the sections until the entire lace has been dyed. Once the dye has dried, remove the rubber bands to reveal laces that show your team spirit.

2
Use shoe polish, fabric paint or felt markers to change the look of your shoes. For example, paint the entire shoe your team color or add stripes along the sides in your team's colors. As a coordinated effort, ask a team member or members with artistic talent to paint the shoes of all of your team's players; ensure that this effort is done well before a game to ensure that the paint or polish has enough time to dry.

3
Attach a sticker or rub-off decal to your shoes. You can place your uniform number or name on the back or team mascot on the sides. Alternatively, use individual adhesive letters to spell out the name of a sick or injured teammate on the shoe's back, side or toe line.

Honor a person special to the team by making copies of his photo and gluing or sticking them onto the sides of everyone's shoes. Whether it's to honor the recently deceased parent of a player or the coach celebrating a milestone year of leading the team, this decoration will set your squad apart from others on the field.

Order baseball shoes from a company that sells customized cleats, such as Boombah.com or Softball.com. These organizations may even offer color and spike options for your shoes. Additionally, most leading athletic shoe companies offer different colors of the same model.
