How to Execute a Chest Pass
Instructions
-
Basketball Chest Pass
-
1
Grip the ball with one hand on each side. Spread your fingers and bring your hands together until your thumbs are about 4-inches apart.
-
2
Bring the ball towards your chest and allow your palms to come away from the surface of the ball, gripping it with your fingertips.
-
3
Face the direction you wish to pass the ball. Keep both feet planted on the floor. Push off with your back foot and take a step forward in the direction of the pass.
-
4
Forcefully extend your arms, driving the ball forward. As you release the ball, snap your wrists back and thrust your thumbs downwards to create back spin. Aim for your team mate's chest to ensure it is easy to catch.
