The Best Basketball Camps for Kids in Colorado

The state of Colorado has several different options when it comes to really good basketball camps for kids. The reason is because there are multiple colleges in the state that run summer camps for kids in grade school through high school. The camps that are run by college coaches are the best camps because the level of instruction and level of competition are both very high.
  1. Colorado Basketball School

    • The Colorado University men's basketball program offers a basketball camp for kids on their campus called Colorado Basketball School. There are 4 different sessions of this camp, which include individual day camp, Shooting Camp, Little Dribblers Camp, and Elite Camp. The sessions are held simultaneously in the middle of June with the exception of Elite Camp. Elite Camp is held near the end of June after the other three sessions have ended. Elite Camp only lasts one day whereas the other three sessions last 4 days. The goal of the camps is to be open to anyone interested in basketball and to provide instruction.

    Colorado State University

    • Colorado State University men's basketball program offers a series of annual basketball camps designed to improve the skills of participants. Little Rams Camp is for kids in grades K-2 and emphasizes learning the fundamentals. This camp is usually held the second week of June each year. Rams Day Camp is a commuter camp for kids in grades 3 to 8. This camp takes place annually during the second week of June. The focus of Rams Day Camp is to improve offensive and defensive parts of each players game. The Offensive Skills Camp is held for 3 days during the last week of June. This camp is for high school kids and is run by local high school and college coaches. The level of instruction is elite and is considered one of the best camps around if your goal is to become a complete offensive player.

    University of Denver

    • The University of Denver offers three different basketball camps for kids. The offerings consist of a day camp and two elite camps. The day Camp is held annually at the start of the second week of June and is for kids that are between grades 2 and 8. The first elite Camp is always held at the end of the second week of June. It is for high school aged players. The second elite camp is held annually in August and is also for high school aged players.
