1
Set your bike on its kickstand or recruit a friend to hold it upright while you work. You cannot attach a bicycle trailer while the bike is on its side or upside down.
-
2
Loosen the non-drive (left) side rear wheel axle nut using a 15-mm wrench. If you have a quick-release style rear wheel, release the quick-release lever, then twist the quick-release nut counterclockwise to remove it from the skewer. Pull the skewer out of the wheel axle.
-
3
Locate the rear-wheel trailer mount included with your Trailblazer trailer. It should have one closed end and one open one, with a 90-degree bend in the middle. Slide the hole of the closed end of the mount over the non-drive side rear wheel axle so that the open end sticks out away from the bike.
-
4
Twist the axle bolt back onto the rear wheel axle and tighten it over the mount using a 15-mm wrench. If you have a quick release-style rear wheel, slide the skewer back through the wheel, attach the quick-release nut, and close the quick-release lever to secure the wheel and mount.
-
5
Slide the end of the metal arm on the front of the trailer in between the two holes in the open end of the trailer mount. Slide the locking pin attached to the trailer through the holes in the mount and the metal arm to secure the trailer to your bike. You are now ready to take the kids out for a ride.
