Size, Color and Weight

The Royale came in a variety of sizes as small as 19 inches and as large as 27 inches. The Mixte version came in two sizes -- 19.5 and 22.5 inches. The regular version weighed in at 24.5 lbs., while the Mixte weighed 26.5 lbs. Both versions were available in the colors oak green and rainbow blue.
Frame, Fork and Handlebars

The frame of the 83 Royale II was made from Fuji VALite 1769 quadruple-butted steel tubing. The crown and fork were made from a high-tension steel. A Young alloy stem and a NITTO Olympiade B114 alloy bar completed the handlebars. The Mixte version had a Universiade B 104 alloy handlebar in place of the Olympiade.
Gearing and Cranks

This bike had 12 gears from which riders could select. A Sun Tour derailleur set with an ARX front and ARX-GT rear grouping and BL shifters were also on the bike. Sugino GT 42 x52T170 mm alloy cranks came standard.
Additional Features

MKS Sylvan Road Toe Clip pedals, UKAI alloy rims, Sunshine hubs and a FUJITA Seamless Anatomical Pro saddle were some additional features on the bike.
