Specs for the Colnago C50

Colnago is a bicycle manufacturer founded in 1954. As of 2010, Colnago manufactures 17 different models. The C50 was one of its most popular bicycle frames, though it has since been discontinued.
  1. Identification

    • The C50 is a carbon-fiber bicycle frame. It has a 1 and 1/8-inch head tube, biconical down tube and seamless carbon fiber lugs. The C50 also has a master profile carbon fiber top tube.

    Types

    • When the C50 was manufactured, a variety of different sizes were available. The frame could be ordered in either the traditional or sloping styles. Sizes offered in the traditional style were 51 through 65 centimeters, available at 1 centimeter increments. For the sloping style, sizes offered included 45, 48, 50, 52, 54 and 57 centimeters. Weight varied depending on the size of the frame. A 50-inch frame weighed 16.56 pounds.

    • Because the C50 is a bicycle frame, it can be outfitted with any number of different hardware including a variety of compatible pedals, shifters and so forth. A variety of different paint schemes were available at the time of manufacture. In 2009, the base price for the Colnago C50 was $4200.
