Directions for the Tuff Tent

Tuff Tent, produced by King Canopy, comes in a variety of sizes. These tents are designed to go up fast and with no tools. The tents have four poles that use twist buttons to secure them in the up position when open. A roof constructed of 500 denier nylon uses a single zipper to tension the fabric when the tent is erect. Because the tents are large, it helps to have an assistant when opening and closing the Tuff Tent.

Instructions

  1. Tent Setup

    • 1

Set the Tuff Tent on the ground where you plan to set it up. Pull the tent pole legs out and turn the twist barrels on the sides of the poles to lock them into position. Pull the tent frame out halfway and drape the ceiling fabric up and over the frame. Insert the roof sleeves over the poles in each corner.

    • 2

Attach the hook and loop straps around the tent frame at the ceiling corners to secure the roof to the frame. Grip the frame at a "V" in the frame sides, while your friend does the same opposite you.

    • 3

Set the tent up on its legs. Both you and your helper walk backward and hold the middle of one leg. The tent self-erects as you pull the legs apart.

    Tent Take-Down

    • 4

Twist the barrel locks to loosen the legs and push the poles down into themselves to begin the take-down process.

    • 5

Walk to the middle of the tent, pushing the fabric from the roof down into the middle of the legs. Unzip the ceiling zipper to make the fabric drape into the center without snags. Pull up on the fabric and remove it from the frame.

    • 6

Push the tent frame together and slide it into the storage bag. Fold the ceiling evenly and place it in the storage bag.
