How to Ship Bowling Balls

Trying to ship a bowling ball if you aren't sure exactly which precautions to take could end in the ball being damaged. While it is at your discretion which shipping service you'd like to use, packing the ball and preparing it for travel properly is very important to get the ball safely to its destination. Luckily, shipping bowling balls is easy if you know which steps to follow.

Things You'll Need

  • Two cardboard boxes of corresponding size
  • Bubble wrap
  • Tape
  • Duct tape
  • Packing foam

Instructions

      Wrap the bowling ball in bubble wrap, with the bubbles facing inward. Secure the wrap with scotch tape as you go. Make sure the entire ball is covered.

      Place the wrapped bowling ball into a cardboard box that leaves very little extra room once the ball is inside. Seal the box with duct tape.

      Insert the sealed box into another cardboard box that is slightly larger than the original. Fill any empty space with pieces of packing foam. Seal the box.

      Take the package to your local shipping service location to fill out the destination information and pay to have the package shipped.
