This is a national organization that represents the United States boxing program in the Olympics and other international amateur competitions. USA Boxing receives funding from many national donors. Membership with the USA Boxing organization puts you and your program in direct contact with these donors. The Department of Education, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Foundation Center are examples of different agencies you will have access to. Every year USA Boxing itself offers grant opportunities for small gyms and programs. You can apply directly to USA Boxing instead of using them as an intermediary. For the 2010-2011 period the organization has $194,690 in grant awards. Membership is a requisite for consideration when applying for these grants.

Golden Gloves is a charitable organization that promotes amateur boxing in the USA. Golden Gloves became famous through the support and sponsorship of local gyms, tournaments and amateur programs. Your local community offers different grant opportunities for health and youth promotion. Simply perform a Google search with your community name and the words "grants for youth sports." Several links will appear and you can research exactly what your particular community has to offer in terms of funding opportunities. Every community is different, but most have local businesses and organizations willing to donate and sponsor a good program for their youth.
