How to Calculate a Batting Average for Cricket

Cricket, like baseball, is played with a bat and a ball. A bowler throws the ball trying to hit a wicket while a batter attempts to hit the bowler's ball. Like baseball players, cricket batters have a batting average. The higher the average the better. Most players have a batting average between 5 and 50.
