Instructions

1
Count the teams that you have to choose from.
-
2
Divide one or more sheets of paper, as necessary, into boxes with a pencil and a ruler. Make the boxes big enough to hold the name of a team.
-
3
Write down all the teams that you have to choose from on the paper. Put each team's name in a separate box.
-
4
Cut the paper into squares along the lines of the boxes you have made. Only cut out the squares with names in them. Discard the rest of the paper.
-
5
Shuffle the paper squares with them facing away from you, then lay them upside down on an empty table. Leave plenty of space between each piece of paper --- a couple of inches at least.
-
6
Make sure the room is quiet and will remain so. Dim the lights as well, so that it is not too bright.
-
7
Rest your elbow on the table and hang the pendulum string over your forefinger with your thumb holding it in place at the back. Let your pendulum hang down to within an inch or two of the table. Hold the pendulum over each piece of paper in turn.
-
8
Let the pendulum dangle over each piece of paper for a minute or two. Keep your mind as empty as possible and don't move the hand holding the pendulum intentionally. Allow the pendulum to behave independently. This may seem difficult at first, but should get easier with practice.
-
9
Watch the pendulum. If it swings back and forth a little, but doesn't move in any other way, move on to the next piece of paper after a couple of minutes. At some point the pendulum will, hopefully, start to rotate. Put the piece of paper to one side when this happens.
-
10
Stop when you have put enough pieces of paper to one side and look to see which teams you have chosen with your dowsing pendulum.
