      Boil a pot of water.

      Remove pot from the heat and allow it to cool for about a minute.

      Drop the mouthpiece into the water and leave it there for 30 seconds.

      Use a spoon to remove the mouthpiece from the water. Shake off excess water. Use caution; the mouthpiece will be very hot.

      Place the mouthpiece in your mouth. Center it on your upper teeth and gently bite down. Suck out the excess water and air by pressing your tongue against the back of the upper teeth. Use your fingers to press the front of the mouthpiece against your teeth and gums.

      Leave the mouthpiece in your mouth for 30 seconds. Remove it and rinse the mouthpiece under cold water. Test the comfort and fit of the mouthpiece.
