1
Find a brand. Almost all the major shoe companies allow to customize your football cleats online. Two of the larger companies, Nike and adidas, created websites specifically designed to make the process as simple as possible. Select your preference and begin designing your cleats.

2
Measure your feet. Before you get started designing a football cleat, you need to know what size you wear. So even if you are currently wearing a size 10 in one brand, it would be a good idea to find out what size you wear in the brand of cleats you plan to customize. Simply because different shoes can have a different fit and feel.

3
Pick the style. Almost every online customizable shoe company offers more than one type of football cleat. While all serve the same function, some are made of different types of leather, and some feature a different design and cut near the ankle. Some also feature more "sections" than others, meaning there are more parts available to color.
-
4
Color the sections. Once you decide on a style, most online shoe companies will take you to a page where you will be able to highlight a certain section of the cleat. Once you highlight it, a box will come up with a variety of colors. For instance, if you pick the "base," of the cleat, or the front section that covers the toes, you will be prompted to choose a color. Each company offers different color selections. On top of the base, most brands allow you to color the side and back of the cleat, as well as the tongue and laces.
-
5
Pay for the cleats. This usually involves adding the cleats to an online cart, then entering your name, shipping address and credit card information. Some brands also allow you to customize the shoe even further before this final step, adding a number or even name to the back of the shoe.
