How to Make a Golf Tournament Flyer

Golf tournaments serve a dual purpose: They allow a wide cross-section of people to get together and have fun playing golf together and, in most cases, they make it possible for a needy charity to raise large sums of money in one day. Getting the word out about a golf tournament requires the creation of a flyer advertising it.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on the "Start" icon in the lower-left hand corner of your personal computer's screen. Click on the icon for your computer's word processing program.

    • 2

Click on "New" to launch a blank document page. Scroll down in the "Template" field and click on "Flyers." Choose "Event flyers" from the selection of flyer choices. Choose one of the preloaded flyer formats or decide to leave the page blank and choose one from an online source.

    • 3

Search online for free clip-art websites and choose an appropriate picture to use as the background art for your flyer; otherwise, use a photo of the golf course you will be playing on or a logo from the charity the tournament will be representing.

    • 4

Include all of the important details about the tournament, such as name, style of tournament, date, location, registration and tee-off information, entry fees, registration information, contact information and basic rules and auxiliary event listings (such as awards dinner, putting contest and longest drive contest). Use different color and style fonts to add some flair to the flyer.

Create the flyers yourself by printing them on glossy paper (one that has a shiny coating and absorbs ink quickly) or take the flyer to a printer to have copies made.
