Specifications for Adams Ovation Golf Clubs

The Adams Ovation golf club line is an improved 2004 version of the 1990s' Tight Lies line. Characterized as a low-profile wood, the Adams Ovation possesses a head design similar to the upside-down structure of its predecessor that angles the center of gravity lower. The heel and toe are inlaid with a tungsten weight to raise the point of inertia. These features combine to enable greater distance covered with minimal spin.
  1. Men’s Standard

    • This model comes with a stock shaft made of composite graphite crafted by Aldila, another company that produces shafts and other golf equipment. With a similar design as its Tight Lies predecessor, the Ovation's wide sole affords mid-high to high launch angle with greater accuracy and forgiveness factors. It is available in 3 Strong (13 degrees); 3 minus (15 degrees); 4 minus (17 degrees); 5 minus (19 degrees); 7 minus (21 degrees); 9 minus (24 degrees); and 11 minus (27 degrees), with every club in the set designed for right-hand launching and the 3, 5, 7 and 9 woods also designed for left-hand launching. Shaft flexes are R (regular), S (stiff), and X (extra stiff).

    Men’s Offset

    • Also available in 3 minus (right/left hand), 5 minus (right/left hand), 7 minus (right/left hand), 9 minus (right/left hand) and 11 minus (right hand), the models’ shaft flexes are also regular, stiff and extra stiff. This standard fairway wood model has a wider sole for easy hitting with greater accuracy and less ball spin.

    Senior

    • The senior model comes with 9.5-degree drivers outfitted for right-handed dexterity. Its shaft is a patented Adams green graphite or Aldila, with Adams stock rubber grip. Its length and lie are both standard. The model has 3 minus (16 degrees), 5 minus (20 degrees), 7 minus (22 degrees), 9 minus (25 degrees) and 11 minus (28 degrees) clubs in senior shaft designed with an oversize grip.

    Women’s

    • This stainless steel club has a high balance point because of its 48-gram Aldila graphite shaft. The 3 minus (17 degree) wood is 42 inches long with a 59-degree lie. The 5 minus (21 degree) is 41 inches long and has a lie of 59.5-degree lie. The 7 minus (23 degree) wood is 41 inches long with a 60-degree lie. Shaft flexes are either Women’s or Winn women’s grip. Three vertical dots at the heel allow more centered hitting with low spin.
