How to Change Spikes on Adidas Golf Shoes

If you play only a few times each month, replace your spikes every other month.

  • Damp cotton swab

      Wipe down the bottom of your Adidas golf shoes with a damp piece of paper towel to remove any dirt or mud.

      Slide the opening of your cleat wrench over the first spike you want to replace. Turn the cleat wrench counterclockwise to unscrew the spike. Remove the spike and set it aside. Repeat for all spikes that need to be replaced.

      Insert a damp cotton swab into each spike hole to ensure it's clean.

      Insert the first new spike into the first empty spike hole. Turn the spike clockwise with the cleat wrench to firmly tighten the spike into the spike hole. Repeat for all the new spikes.
