E-Z-GO PDS Speed Modification

E-Z-GO golf carts are among the most common on golf courses around the world. These carts are generally restricted to around 10-15 miles per hour by factory settings, including the PDS carts. You can modify these speed settings in just minutes with a few simple tweaks, and you can get the cart moving as fast as 20-25 miles per hour.

Instructions

    • 1

Power clean your cart with a hose and a soapy water solution. Be sure to clean the wheels and the cart's wheel wells to allow the cart to operate at its most efficient.

    • 2

Remove the restrictor bar underneath the cart's gas pedal. This prevents you from pressing the pedal all the way, and you can remove it with a screwdriver and wrench.

    • 3

Adjust the governor within the engine to defeat this restriction. Fasten the T-shaped governor inside the engine to the cylinders of the carburetor right next to it.

    • 4

Add larger wheels to the cart to allow it to cover more ground while the engine still works at the same revolutions per minute.
